End Dishonest Budgeting

The AOA launched a national advocacy campaign aimed at securing the inclusion of key policy provisions - specifically reforms of the Medicare physician payment formula - in the final legislation produced by the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction.

As part of this effort, The AOA developed three ads based on a theme of "honest budgeting." View the ads and then sign the petition urging lawmakers to ensure access to healthcare for all.

Each year, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) provides physicians with the opportunity to change their Medicare participation status. Physicians will be notified by their Medicare administrative contractor when it’s time to make their participation decision. Any change in status will be effective Jan. 1, 2012.
